Terms of service

1. What these cover

These terms cover the hosted service at this site — accounts, the hosted dashboard, stored build history, and expiry alerts. They do not cover the leas engine, which is MIT licensed and governed solely by that licence. You may use, modify and distribute the engine whether or not you ever agree to these terms, and nothing here restricts that.

2. Accounts

You need a GitHub account to sign in. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sync tokens secret. Tell us promptly if a token leaks; you can revoke any token yourself at any time from your account page.

3. What we store, and what we never receive

If you use the hosted dashboard we store build records, over-the-air update records, and credential metadata — a credential name, an expiry date, and a truncated public certificate fingerprint.

We do not receive, request, or store signing material. There is no endpoint that accepts a certificate, a private key, a keystore, or an API key, and we undertake not to add one without your explicit, separate agreement. This is described in detail in credential custody, and it is a term of this contract rather than only a marketing claim.

4. Paid plans

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. We never see your card details. Prices are shown before you buy and may change with at least 30 days’ notice for existing subscribers.

5. Cancellation and refunds

Cancel at any time from your account page; access continues to the end of the paid period. If you are unhappy for any reason within 30 days of a payment, ask and we will refund it in full. No conditions and no argument.

If we discontinue the hosted service we will give at least 60 days’ notice, refund any unused prepaid time, and provide an export of your data. Your ability to build and ship is unaffected, because the engine runs without us.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to break the law, to store other people’s data without their permission, or to attack the service or anyone else through it. We may suspend an account that does, and will explain why.

7. Availability

The hosted service is provided as-is, without an uptime guarantee unless we have signed a separate agreement with you. We will make reasonable efforts to keep it up and to warn you about planned interruptions. Because the engine runs on your machines, an outage here does not stop you shipping.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the hosted service is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. For material changes affecting paid subscribers we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email. Continuing to use the service after that counts as acceptance.
